Sometimes when I listen to General Colin Powell and President Barack Obama, I think – why don’t we let black folks run the country for a little while?

Then I remember Alan Keyes… and think, nevermind.

    Well, for every Alan Keyes there’s a hundred or more good people to do the job. I say why not? We white people had our chance, now let others have an opportunity. I really hope Mr. Obama is the first of many from differing backgrounds to ascend to the highest office in the land.

    Hi ZIRGAR – I’m sorry to be SOOOO long responding! I actually had to plan an overseas trip and was ridiculously without time.

    Anyway – I do agree with a hope for lots of folks from differing backgrounds, (and yes, hopefully, a Madam president) soon. :)
