		<description>Reparations are intended to repair a harm caused through the actions of a government. In this case, the harm is the (sometimes deliberate) scrambling of slave histories and families.  DNA testing is abailable to all, but the government paying for it for one group is the government acknowledging its responsibility.

But you don&#039;t mention white Americans. How might they feel about black people getting access to this resource that lets them see where they are from, when this resource is not accessible to them also? Surely they might also like to know from whence they came?
